I’m finally back out on my own.
I’m really, really excited, despite the challenges I’m facing right now. My apartment is amazing, the building is crappy and the people are weird. I can handle that. Once I shut my door I’m in my home.
And that’s that.
Moving on Sunday was brutal, but I’m just glad it’s over and done with. Now, all my stuff is here and it’s just a matter of organising it until I have furniture and bookshelves and such.
This is going to take time.
I’m definitely up for the challenge. First I’m getting an air conditioner (it’s terribly hot in here) and then I’m painting…. I was thinking of dark colours. Not to be sombre, but relaxing. I am going to look at an olive brown for the living room, and a deep forest green for the bedroom. I think I shall paint the bathroom a bright peach, and the kitchen a double-double coffee brown. It’s just the planning stage. Lots of room to make changes. Nothing set in stone.
Maybe a light blue in the bathroom, to match the white and blue-patterned wall tiles? Like I said, lots of time to think.
I’m just waiting for Primus to finish my dry loop and send my wireless modem. Then I’ll be perfect.
