So, I walked from Sherbourne and Carlton to the Y near Yonge and College (around 8 city blocks), then to Cabbagetown (14 blocks) then back home (9 blocks). That's gotta be around 30 city blocks I've traversed today! Holy shit! Now, let it truly be said of me, that I'm no longer a Scarberian, but a Downtown person! A real Gay Blade in the heart of the city!
I am reborn. I am renewed. I am downtown folk...
After at least 3 weeks, I've officially ended "The Great Gym Funk." I was out the door at around 9am this morning, murmuring and muttering how I didn't wanna go to the gym, how people were gonna laugh at me because I'm fat, and just the most negative barrage of self-induced loathing. It was really awful! But, as I got into my walk and experienced the sea of humanity, I gained my perspective: a blind dude, an old man with a walker, a fucking KNOCKOUT muscly dude, and so on. I just saw people, and I mean, people are people, aren't they?
I pulled off an hour on the treadmill, then felt tired. Didn't feel like doing the weights. I'm giving myself ONE week to catch up on the cardio, then I'm tearing into an exercise plan: one hour of cardio a day (any machine), then split routine (upper, lower) Monday thru Saturday, then two hours of cardio on Sunday. While I'm not in a position to change my diet (unfortunately, carbs are still the cheapest "fill up" option) I intend, by the end of June, to be fully in the swing of my workout routine and seeing some results.
No more pussyfooting around for me. I'm back on the programme.
I was debating whether to house clean, but I am a little bit tired out from today. I am going to have lunch, a short nap, and then get some work done. Housecleaning can wait until tomorrow. It's not like anyone ever visits me anyway lol.
All Good Things.
A and e and l love you
